Two years after the original Minecraft version for the PC, work was already underway on the Bedrock Edition. At that time it was still called the Pocket Edition.
Over the years that edition has been released on more and more platforms. After the Smartphone App 2011, the Bedrock versions 2015 and 2017 were released on Windows 10 and Xbox One. Since then, the game is officially only known as “Minecraft”.
But of course, the features of the Bedrock version remain included and are the same on all compatible devices.
Adventure, Sandbox, Survival

ArticlesMinecraft has thrilled millions of people around the world since its 2009 release and has found its place in popular culture. With the Bedrock version, the crafting game in pixel optics has been bigger than ever before for several years now. Players can build their worlds cross-platform and are no longer limited to the initially very small servers.
The now only “Minecraft” version of the game is now the standard and playable on all consoles, PCs, smartphones and smart TVs.
Collecting, building, processing.
This does not refer to the everyday life of a primeval craftsman, but to a game principle that most people today have probably already heard about.
In Minecraft you are in a pixel world composed of blocks and as a small game character you are often not equipped at all or with sporadic objects – like a pickaxe. Everything else you have to make yourself. Hence the title: Mining and Crafting.
In recent years, impressive YouTube videos of hard-working workers have shown us what can come out of this, now often copied, game principle. A few highlights are probably: the Death Star, Hogwarts Castle or all of Middle Earth.
In the past, Minecraft was as practical as it was ingenious, but not nearly as comfortable as it is now with the Bedrock Edition.
It allows the players to play with each other, even if they have different devices. And this in a world without limits. In addition, thanks to “Minecraft Realms”, the version offers paid servers specially provided by developer Mojang.
In general, the Bedrock version is much more focused on multiplayer capability than the actual Java version.
Besides your own servers, other server providers can also apply to Minecraft and offer all kinds of mini-games on them. A user-controlled and thus self-expanding offer, which is independent of extensions or DLCs.

Too old? No such thing!
This innovative game system with its timeless retro look is designed for eternity and is constantly being improved and developed. And because of the additional very low price, it’s really never too late to get on the Minecraft train and start building.
So browse through the server options and grab the pickaxe with your friends and start dismantling!
