Romestead is set in a post-apocalyptic world after ancient Rome lies in ruins. The night brings undead hordes and dangerous enemies - your goal is to build a community, create protection and rebuild civilization piece by piece.
Build farms, forges, tanneries and more. Take care of food, resources and the well-being of your citizens. A happy population is important - decorations and infrastructure influence the mood and effectiveness of your settlement.
In addition to building, the focus is on exploration and combat: roam dangerous biomes, discover dungeons, defeat bosses and collect treasures. Religion also plays a role - you can bring offerings, choose gods and use their blessings to unlock new technologies and benefits.
Romestead supports single player, online co-op and LAN. Together with up to 8 players you can build your settlement, tackle dungeons together and master challenges. Team play is rewarded.
The game world is procedurally generated, with different biomes, wilderness, ruins and explorable regions. The graphic style is appealing and reminiscent of pixel art with loving details. The atmosphere and mood change depending on the time of day and threat level.
Romestead combines the best elements of survival, construction and role-playing in a historical setting with mythology. If you like planning settlements, juggling resources, fighting strategically and going on adventures with friends, this game should be right up your street. Not everything is ready yet - Early Access is imminent - but the idea and style look promising and invite you to help shape the game.
