This was a very bad experience, average support and suspicious payment handling. If you purchase a server through the GPortal Xbox or Windows app, there's no way to get a refund. Outside of payment disputes or card level chargebacks. In my case a broken server was issued with a network error page shown on the configuration and someone else’s details entered into the settings including their old saved games. This was finally resolved on April 30th.However, if you ask for a refund GPortal will refer you to Xbox, once at Xbox you'll find there's only the option to cancel a subscription but no option to request a refund. This has since been tested by 5 other Xbox GPortal customers and confirmed by an Xbox representative. GPortal plans appear only as active plans with the option to manage them you can cancel or change payment method. Their plans do not show as purchases and do not appear in the refund form alongside other subscriptions; Gamepass, Ubisoft+, Nitrado, etc. This is a direct quote from Xbox:"Xbox cannot issue a refund for this purchase, we are unable to manage third-party servers purchased through the GPortal app."So in their own words GPortal can't refund me and Xbox can't either. It's literally a honeypot scam. Whether intentional, I don't know. GPortal think Xbox handle refunds, Xbox think GPortal handle refunds. No one gets a refund.I've had other servers from GPortal in the past, I admit they have worked okay, but accidentally stumbling onto this scenario means I won't be purchasing further gameservers from them.---------EDIT: Just to underline how ridiculous this situation is. I'm confirming the link provided in GPortal's response to this review does indeed not work, I've also had five others who host with GPortal through Xbox confirm there's no option to request a refund through the link they provided. As I mentioned above GPortal subscriptions do not appear in the refund fields alongside other Xbox subscriptions. So there's literally no way to request one through the referenced articles.I can only assume at this stage that GPortal are either fully aware of this and just enjoying the free revenue this loop creates or are really blissfully unaware that their services cannot be refunded for Xbox customers.I've adjusted this rating to 2 star, as they did eventually get the server working but the situation with refunds via Xbox is borderline fraudulent and if it’s intentional it shows just how little they care about their customers or business.
