Finally, the time has come. Minecraft fans have been waiting for it for a long time and are currently eagerly awaiting June 8, 2021. No wonder, because the developer Mojang has announced this date for "Caves & Cliffs Part 1".

In the process, the new blocks and mobs are also available for mobile devices as well as the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The update in the presentation

The official blog post reveals to fans that the new patch has a lot to offer in the process and part one of "Caves & Cliffs" has new creatures and other features in store, which we would like to introduce, of course.

New creatures on land and in the water

For example, there are three new creatures in the game. Axalotl are creatures that live underwater. Therefore, they only become dangerous to drowning players, which also applies to the new luminescent squids. But not only in the water there are new dangerous creatures, also on land new dangers are waiting for the players. These are the mean goats, which are considered to be particularly aggressive and attack players with nasty headbutts at the slightest opportunity.

New blocks for more variety

Furthermore, there are already 91 new blocks in Part 1 alone, which are available to players for developing their own creativity. These include amethyst and copper, for example. Copper ages visibly, which ultimately gives the buildings a pretty cool retro factor.

If you believe Mojang, individual blocks are very well hidden in Adventure mode. So if you don't want to spend time looking for the new blocks, you're probably better off in the so-called Create mode. Additionally, there are the Dripleaves, or drip leaves. These can make it much easier for players to traverse the world.

New ore veins

Finally, a feature that many players have been eagerly awaiting is the fact that, as of update 1.17, the valuable ores no longer appear only sporadically or as "blobs". Now they also exist as veins of ore in the rock, and players who find one of these can often follow it underground in the future.

What about part 2?

Of course, many players are wondering what about the second part of "Claves & Cliffs". According to Mojang, the second part should appear with the update 1.18. However, there is no fixed date for it yet. However, developers have announced that the patch is scheduled for the end of 2021.

There is also initial information about new content here. For example, a new "Deep Dark" cave biome will be included. Additionally, new Sculk blocks, which are supposed to appear there. Likewise, developers have announced that with 1.18 the caves as well as the mountains in the game will be extensively revised. In addition, with part 2, more new creatures come into play, including the Wardens, which can also be spawned specifically with a Warden egg, which offers players new possibilities.

Our conclusion - it was worth the wait

Minecraft inspires numerous players all over the world today. No wonder, because there are many possibilities here, so it is no wonder that the target group now ranges from children to adults. The long wait for the first part of "Caves & Cliffs" was worth it. Many new features, new creatures and numerous possibilities are waiting to finally be discovered.
