What can an admin do at Unturned?

As an administrator, you can manage players on your server, remove unwanted players from the server or influence the game.

How do I become an admin on Unturned?

To become an admin in Unturned you need two things: Your Steam64 ID and the Commands.dat configuration file of your Unturned server.

Find out your Steam64 ID

1. find out your Steam64 ID first](/en/wiki/steam64-id-find-out)
2. stop your game server
3. connect to your server via FTP
4. search for the directory \Server\Commands.dat.
5. open the file Commands.dat in the directory with an editor
6. enter a new line with the rank and the Steam64 ID
   1. OWNER YourSteam64ID to enter yourself as owner. The Owner rank has the highest level and can only be assigned once per server.
   2. ADMIN YOURSteam64ID to register yourself as an admin. The Admin rank can be assigned several times per server.
7. now save the file and (re)start your server.
