Arrakis - also known as Dune - is the central setting of Dune: Awakening and one of the most iconic worlds in science fiction history. The deadly desert world with its endless dunes, sand worms and spice deposits forms the heart of the game and presents players with extreme challenges.

Example regions:
- The Great Dunes (Great Flat) - Vast, open deserts with high spice levels and increased worm activity.
- Mountain Ranges & Plateaus - Home to Fremen lairs, mines and secret paths.
- Rocky Canyons - Natural cover for guerrilla fighters and bandit camps.
- Abandoned Cities & Industrial Plants - Remnants of Harkonnen or Imperial occupation.
