In "Palworld" you can set up a game server in several ways to play with your friends

Rent a server

One option is to rent a game server from a hoster. This offers the advantage that the server remains online even when you are offline. So your friends can continue to play.

Gameservercheck can help you choose a good hoster. You can find a comparison here: Rent Palworld Server

Setting up your own server

You can host your own server with the Palworld Dedicated Server Tool from your Steam library. Once set up, share your IP address and port (default 8211) with your friends so they can connect. This is a cost-effective solution that allows you to customize the game according to your preferences.

However, this solution requires in-depth knowledge, as the port usually has to be shared on the router (e.g. Fritzbox).

Customize server settings

In the file PalWorldSettings.ini in the folder \steamapps\common\PalServer\Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer you can adjust various game parameters. Here you can modify settings such as the day-night cycle, the experience rate or the behavior of the Pals to customize your gaming experience.
