How do I become a server admin in TeamSpeak 3?
The Server Admin rank is essential for setting up the server and managing the users.
Authorization key / token
In TeamSpeak 3, access to server administration is controlled via authorization keys. Authorization keys expire after use. The keys can only be generated by the server or by a server admin.
How do I get authorization keys / tokens?
When creating a TeamSpeak 3 server, the first token is usually generated when the server is created. This is then displayed in the server log.
If it is a rented server, the hoster usually has a log view or a separate page for these tokens in its web interface.
On external TeamSpeak 3 servers, the server admin can create and send a new authorization key.
Important notes on authorization keys / tokens
- The authorization key / token can only be used once at a time
- If the authorization key / token has been used, it expires
- If you revoke your own rights, this cannot be reversed
