Crossplay in Farming Simulator 2022
Crossplay allows players from different platforms to play LS22 together. The platforms are therefore not isolated from each other in multiplayer.
Which platforms support crossplay on the LS22
Crossplay is a top priority in Farming Simulator 2022. All platforms for LS22 support the function. This means that players of the following platforms can play together:
- PC / MAC
- PS4
- PS5
- Xbox One X/S
- Xbox Series X/S
- Google Stadia
How to enable crossplay on the LS22
To activate crossplay, you must set 'Allow crossplay' to 'On' in the multiplayer menu. The function is then active in multiplayer mode.
Limited slots - the restriction for crossplay
A slight shortcoming of the crossplay function in Farming Simulator 2022 is the limitation of server slots in multiplayer. Each platform has a different limitation due to the available hardware. The available slots on the server largely determine the maximum number of active machines and devices.
- The different gaming platforms for LS22 have different numbers of slots for servers
- The maximum number of slots on the server always depends on the weakest participating platform
- PS4 and XBox One have the lowest slot limit
- Only PC players can host servers with 16 slots
- Console players can host servers with 6 slots
- External, rented servers have 16 slots in CrossPlay
Mods in multiplayer and crossplay
Mods, i.e. modifications for the LS22, are possible in multiplayer mode. There are a few things to bear in mind:
- The mod running on the server must have been installed by every participating player
- Crossplay with mods is only possible if the mods come from the official ModHub of the LS22, which is available on every platform - directly integrated into the game
- Stadia players cannot join servers with active mods
