What is SCUM anyway?

SCUM is a survival horror computer game from Croatian developer studio Gamepires and was released in Early Access on Steam in the fall of 2018. You take on the role of a convict abandoned on an island for a perverted TV show. The TV crew watches over you as you fight for survival. SCUM is similar to many survival computer games but with a few quirks! SCUM claims to be the most realistic of them all: You have to deal with your nutrient balance, move enough to build muscles, keep an eye on the performance of your lungs and even find a quiet place at the right moment. Getting enough sleep is just as important as wearing the right clothes, because even the effect of different layers of clothing is simulated, e.g. how fast it dries. Your entire circulatory system is simulated, and you can train various parameters to improve them. On the island you will meet other prisoners who have suffered the same fate as you. You can kill each other to get the other's loot or form an alliance to fight against the hordes of zombies and other players - at least for the time being. As if that wasn't enough, of course you also have to take care of your food every day, take enough different nutrients to eat. So you can't get around the vegetables here either. Oh, and you shouldn't stuff yourself either, even if it tastes good right now... Because your stomach only has a limited capacity and empties itself violently of its contents when it gets too full.
