What is the CS:GO Major 2021?
The CS:GO Major 2021 is a tournament that will take place in Stockholm at the Ericsson Globe Arena. The prize pool is $2,000,000. Security and local regulations permitting, fans will be on hand to watch the games of the entire tournament in 4K quality for the first time. The tournament will take place in Sweden from October 23 to November 07, 2021.
It will be played in a 2x16 Team Swiss-System format with group stage, with 8 teams having to prove themselves in a single-elimination playoff.
Who will participate in the CS:GO Major 2021?
There are six regional qualifiers - Asia, CIS, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America. Each qualifier will receive a set number of spots that can qualify for the Stockholm Major. The number of places is also influenced by the Berlin Major, which was held two years ago.
At the real tournament there will be 24 teams competing for the prize pool of 2.000.000$. First place will receive $500,000 in prize money.
What maps will be played at the CS:GO Major 2021?
The designated maps for the tournament are Dust 2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Overpass, Ancient and Vertigo.
