Mario Kart World: The greatest racing adventure starts on June 5 on the Nintendo Switch 2
May 23, 2025
Mario Kart World is the most ambitious racing game in the series to date - with open tracks, new characters and a seamless multiplayer experience for up to 24 players.
An open world full of racing fun
Mario Kart World breaks away from traditional track concepts and offers you a huge, interconnected world in which you can race across green plains, through bustling cities, over wide bodies of water and even through volcanoes. New courses such as Crown City, Salty Salty Speedway and Boo Cinema provide a breath of fresh air, while classics such as Peach Beach and Toad's Factory shine in new splendor.
New characters and modes
In addition to familiar faces such as Mario, Peach and Yoshi, you can now race with characters such as Goomba, Spike, Wiggler and even a Moo Moo cow from Moo Moo Meadows. The game also offers new modes such as the Knockout Tour elimination mode, which provides additional excitement.
Multiplayer without limits
Race with up to 24 players online - a first for the series. Thanks to the powerful hardware of the Nintendo Switch 2, these races are seamless and without loading times. TechRadar
