How do I install mods?

Client (Steam)

1. Open Steam and navigate to the game ARK: Survival Evolved and open the Community Hub
2. Under the tab Workshop you will find all available mods
3. Pick a mod, click on it and Subscribe to it
   1. Important: always pay attention to the mod description and the comments, if further steps are necessary for this mod
4. After that Steam will download this mod and update it automatically even with updates
5. When you start the game, you will see in the bottom right corner if the mods are installed

Server (FTP)

1. Open Steam and navigate to the game Ark: Survival Evolved and open the Community Hub
2. Under the tab Workshop you will find all available mods
3. Pick a mod, click on it and subscribe to it
   1. Important: always pay attention to the mod description and the comments, if further steps are required for this mod
4. After downloading you will find the files in the directory \Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\
5. Connect now via FTP to your server
6. Copy the folder of the mod and the file with the extension .mod via FTP to your server under ShooterGame/Content/Mods/
7. Search for the mod ID in the community hub
   1. Open the mod page again, where you also subscribed to it
   2. In the URL is now the mod ID, you have to copy it
8. Open via FTP the GameUserSettings.ini in the ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ directory
9. Add in the file at ActiveMods the mod ID of your downloaded mod
10. Save the file and restart your server

Mods on the console

There are currently no mods available for PlayStation or XBOX.
