From the mined materials you get blocks, with which you can build anything. Whether a space station, solar panels, small robots and even spaceships, large or small, that's your decision.
You can find the resources for building almost everywhere. Practical are the different planet types, so there are gas planets, desert, lava, ice, oceanic, barren and temperate planets. Note that the different planets not only offer special materials, but also do not have suitable conditions for life. So adapt to your environment.
Your base is your mothership, which allows you to travel to the different planets. If you want to go to a new planet to explore it, build a new ship to enter the planet's orbit. But don't forget to equip your ships with proper ammunition and enough weapons. Only then will you be able to defend yourself against the NPCs and other players.
Your survival depends on your ability to adapt to new conditions. It is the different conditions of the planets that make Empyrion interesting, no two planets are alike. On planets with water and ice you can produce oxygen, you should always have enough of it before it's too late. Food, on the other hand, can be found on temperate planets and you can explore other worlds.
