With the latest update The Copper Age, the Copper Golem is finally officially available in Minecraft - and brings exciting new features for your camp and survival management.

What is the Copper Golem?

The Copper Golem is a passive mob built by you. It is created when you place a carved pumpkin or jack-o'-lantern on a copper block - regardless of whether it is new or already oxidized. A Copper Chest automatically appears next to the golem and is closely connected to it.

Useful helper for storage

The Copper Golem searches the surrounding chests and sorts them for you: it takes items from its Copper Chest and automatically places them in suitable boxes within reach. This saves you a lot of time and eliminates the need for tedious re-sorting.

Oxidation & Appearance

Like all copper blocks, the Copper Golem ages over time. Its appearance changes in several oxidation stages - from shiny new to completely weathered. However, its functions remain the same. You can stop the ageing process with wax and keep your golem permanently in the desired shape.

The Copper Age Update

The Copper Golem is part of the extensive Copper Age update, which brings more content to the game:

  • Copper Chests with new storage options

  • Copper tools and armor, a new level between stone and iron

  • New decoration and building elements made of copper

  • Gameplay improvements for collecting and using copper

Conclusion

The new update makes copper more important than ever: With the Copper Golem you get a useful helper for your inventory, while copper tools and chests open up new possibilities for progress and base building. A big plus for anyone looking for more automation and variety in Minecraft.
