Mooshrooms in Minecraft
Mooshrooms are mushroom cows that only occur on mushroom islands and can produce endless mushroom soup as well as suspicious soups. They switch between red and brown varieties when struck by lightning.
Variants
Red Mooshroom:

Spawns naturally on mushroom islands

Carries red mushrooms
Brown Mooshroom:

Created when a red Mooshroom is struck by lightning

Carries brown mushrooms

Can be turned back into a red Mooshroom by lightning
Benefit
Milking:

With a bucket = milk (like normal cows)

With a bowl = mushroom soup (unlimited food source)

Brown moshroom + bowl + flower = suspicious soup with effect of the respective flower
Scissors:

Gives 5 mushrooms (red or brown, depending on variant)

Turns Mooshroom permanently into a normal cow
Breeding:

With wheat

Two Mooshrooms produce one Mooshroom calf (same color as parents)
Habitat

Only on mushroom islands (mycelium biomes)

These biomes do not spawn enemy mobs - safe place for farms

Mooshrooms do not leave the biome voluntarily
Tips

Protect Mooshrooms from lightning strikes if you want to keep their color

Keep at least two for endless food and breeding

Transportation by boat, minecart or line possible (preferably by boat across the sea)

Mooshrooms give infinite food as long as you carry bowls with you

Effect of the suspicious soup depends directly on the flower used (e.g. nightshade = blindness)
