Fireworks in Minecraft
Firework rockets serve as visual show effects, elytra propulsion or crossbow ammunition in Minecraft. Individual rockets can be created using colors, shapes and additives.
Production
Basic ingredients:
-
1x paper
-
1x to 3x gunpowder (more powder = longer flight time)
Optional (for effects):
- 1x fireworks star (crafting from dye + gunpowder)
Example recipe for a simple rocket:
- 1x paper + 1x gunpowder = simple flying rocket (without effect)
Firework star (for effects)
Ingredients:
- 1x gunpowder + 1x colorant
Optional: Additional effects such as glowstone (sparkle), diamond (trail), head/gold nugget (shape)
Result: Firework star with defined color effect
Use
Elytra drive:
-
Use firework rockets when flying with Elytra to increase speed
-
Rockets without a firework star are recommended to avoid damage
Decoration:
- Firing a rocket with a firework star = visual fireworks in the sky
Ammunition:
-
Can be fired with crossbow (with enchantment "multiple charge")
-
Rockets with a star deal area damage (similar to explosive arrows)
Flight time
Depending on the amount of gunpowder:
-
1 powder = 1 second flight time
-
2 powders = 2 seconds
-
3 powders = 3 seconds
Tips
-
Use unmodified missiles for Elytra to avoid damage
